Cream of Cauliflower

Creamy Cauliflower Soup Recipes

Cauliflower is an excellent vegetable to use in creamy soups because you can make white or cream-colored soups, which are always elegant, or team it with potatoes or other vegetables to make something really tasty. Cauliflower is also a versatile ingredient and teams well with curry spices or other international style dishes. If you fancy a change from the chicken noodle soup or tomato soup recipe you usually make, what about using cauliflower to make your soup. Combine the cauliflower with cream and other supporting ingredients like onion, garlic and herbs, or add potatoes, cheese and other ingredients for a heartier, more robust dish.

Cauliflower Soup with Cream and More

Cauliflower is a nutritious vegetable as one as a tasty one, and one which suits many different soup recipes. Cook some onion and garlic and then add your chosen broth, cauliflower and more. If you are using dense vegetables like potatoes, you might want to add those earlier if you are serving the soup chunky, because dense veggies take longer to cook. For a smooth soup you can just add all the ingredients together, since you will be pureeing everything with the blender or food processor. Make a stovetop, pressure cooker or crockpot cauliflower soup and for sure everybody will complement your wonderful home-cooked recipe. Something else great about these soups is you can use a cauliflower which is past its prime to make a pureed soup. It might not taste good served alone as a basic side dish but it will work just fine in the soup.
