Pumpkin Soup with Plenty of Cream

Think of creamy soup and pumpkin soup might well be the first variety to come into your head, the reason being this is one of the most popular cream soups of all. Pumpkin is naturally creamy in consistency, so when you puree it, it will offer a rich, creamy texture. Adding cream, yogurt or milk only intensifies this creaminess and suits the flavor too, since pumpkin is naturally sweet. So, all in all, pumpkin soup is a real winner, especially if you go for a sweet, creamy result. Kids love this type of soup, and so do the grownups. Adding lashings of cream is not essential and some people prefer just a small amount or adding something else altogether.

Creamy Soup with Pumpkin

Use fresh or canned pumpkin for making a pureed pumpkin soup, and the flavor will be good. Some examples of tasty pumpkin soups include slow-cooked pumpkin soup, grilled carrot and pumpkin soup, and curried cream of pumpkin soup. We have plenty more too, so you can find the perfect recipe. Keep the pumpkin seeds, if you are using fresh pumpkin and wish to toast them as a garnish.
