Ingredients
Ingredients for Simple Potato Soup
  • 6 big potatoes
  • 1½ chopped yellow onions
  • 1½ cups chopped celery
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. Peel and chop the potatoes then put them in a pot with the celery and onions.
  2. Add enough water to nearly (but not quite) cover everything.
  3. Bring the soup to a boil, then turn down the heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
  4. Use a potato masher to break up some of the potatoes.
  5. Add cream, using less or more perhaps, depending how thick you want the soup.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
